It was designed to encapsulate the total water cycle. There’s a man-made saltmarsh on the banks to enhance water quality and filter everything.
What’s even cooler is that the park is eco-friendly, as it helps clean up rainwater before it reaches the nearby Cooks River.
Pro tip:
It’s best to come early to grab a good spot!
2. Blacktown Showground Precinct Water Play Park

I highly recommend Blacktown Showground Precinct Water Play Park for a fun family outing, where kids can cool off and burn off some energy. There are shaded areas where you can sit and relax while watching the kids play.
I was able to go there last summer, and I won’t deny – I had so much fun! Plus, it’s clean, well-maintained, and feels very safe.
Oh, and you can also bring a picnic if you want to stay longer. There’s lots of green space where you can spread out a blanket and enjoy some snacks.
The park is easy to get to – just make sure to check the weather and visit the park’s website before you go. I highly suggest this place, especially if you have special events like birthdays, Christmas, or company outings.
Pro tip:
Try to visit on a weekday morning. It gets really crowded on weekends, especially during school holidays.
3. Jamberoo Action Park

The Octo Racer has 8 lanes of twisting, where riders compete to determine who will reach the bottom first. Meanwhile, the Stinger will make you scream as the floor disappears, giving you a zero gravity experience.
These rides are the first of their type in Sydney, so you’ve got to try them!
For kids, Billabong Beach features gentle slides and water jets. Additionally, you’ll enjoy the chairlift, mini golf, and a scenic train ride, which are fun and perfect for all ages.

Season tickets will go on sale in August, with general admission tickets available starting September. Be sure to book early – tickets sell out fast.

As you enter the place, you’ll notice beautiful fountains, tipping buckets, and water jets that will keep you busy for hours. Plus, the barbecue areas and public toilets are very functional and clean.
The playground is usually open during the summer period – from September to May. However, it closes during the cooler months, between June and August.
Pro tip:
The water features run on a timer and only start when you press a button. If you want the water to stop, you need to press it again.
5. Wild Play Garden

Bring water shoes or grippy sandals. The surfaces around the slides can get slippery, and wearing the right footwear will help you move around safely and comfortably.

Open from September through April, there’s plenty to keep everyone happy here. You’ll find BBQ areas, picnic spaces, and even a cycle path, making it easy to turn a simple trip into a whole day of fun.
The playground is a hit with the kids. Also, the clean toilets make it super convenient for families.
One of the best things about Curry Reserve is how inclusive it is.
They provide wet play wheelchairs and adult changing facilities. Such initiatives make sure that everyone, regardless of their needs, can join in the fun.
If you want to add a little extra fun, you can bring a jumping castle. However, it is only allowed in passive park areas, and not on the sports fields.
Pro tip:
Go and try their Splash Channel, perfect for kids. They’ll enjoy the big tipping bucket that pours every five minutes.
8. Cables Wake Park & Aqua Park

Cables Wake Park & Aqua Park is a hidden gem that combines excitement and relaxation for guests. It’s a family favorite, packed with inflatable slides, obstacle courses, and floating fun.
When I went there, the cable car was what I enjoyed most. It’s safe, clean, and safe to operate.
If you want to host an event or party, you can consider this area, as they offer packages that are ideal for large groups.
For wakeboarding fans, the park also hosts top-tier competitions. Watching the pros show off their skills on the water is seriously impressive.
I really enjoyed my visit, and if given another chance, I would go back there again!

If you’re new to wakeboarding, try the slow-speed sessions first.

Furthermore, this place offers a variety of attractions, including 10 and 20-meter high giant slides, a wave rider, and the interactive Adventure Aqua Tower.
In fact, the park is expanding to include three new racing slides, a high-speed free fall slide, and a rocket drop slide.
Aquatopia is also perfect for events or celebrations. With over two dozen cabanas and sheltered areas available for booking, you can enjoy the day in comfort.
Some cabanas even come with BBQ and cooling facilities for your drinks.

Cabanas featuring extra facilities like BBQ areas might sell out fast, so be sure to book ahead.
