1. Laptop Repair Sydney

Address: C7/13-15 Forrester Street, Kingsgrove
Contact: 0455 621 452 | 02 8081 2555
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9 AM-5:30 PM
Laptop Repair Sydney looks handy when a cracked screen turns your workday into a staring contest with a black display.
They stock around 200,000 spare parts in Sydney, which can help speed things up when the right part is on hand.
They cover a wide range of laptop brands and handle screen, keyboard, battery and data recovery jobs. Eligible screen repairs may even be done while you wait, though trickier models can take longer.
Australia-wide pickup and return is another useful option if you’re nowhere near Kingsgrove.
Repairs come with a one-year warranty excluding software, too, which adds some welcome peace of mind.
The catch is that you can’t simply wander in with your wounded laptop. You’ll need a repair ticket number before drop-off, so spontaneous walk-ins aren’t really the go here.
My Broken Laptop Screen Was Replaced in Less Than 30 Minutes
Excellent service; my broken laptop screen was replaced in less than 30 minutes after my online live chat to check the screen was in stock. Reasonably priced for such a convenient and prompt service. Will recommend to all friends and family locally.

No Loss of Files or Data
Highly recommended. 5-star service.
My 10+ year old well looked after HP laptop stopped working suddenly with no warning. Thought I was looking at buying a new one, but on a recommendation I took it to Laptop Repair. One week later it was fixed, and I’m beyond happy. No loss of files or data. Very reasonable price. 10/10

2. Bat Tech

Address: Level 3, Suite 309, 478 George Street
Contact: (02) 9698 9644
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9 AM-5 PM; after-hours drop-off available by appointment
Bat Tech is a handy pick if you hate wondering whether your laptop has vanished into a repair-shop black hole. Their online tracking lets you check job progress and service history without chasing someone by phone.
They work on Windows laptops and MacBooks, covering hard-drive issues, data recovery and other repairs. Straightforward jobs can move quickly, while trickier MacBook work may take around one to three days.
Computer repairs come with a six-month parts-and-labour warranty, which gives the whole setup a bit more reassurance.
The George Street location is convenient for CBD workers, and they offer mail-in, courier and on-site services too.
The catch is the diagnostic fee for more involved jobs. Advanced diagnostics and repairs start from $65, although that fee is credited towards the final bill when the repair is completed successfully.
Able to Source the Replacement Screen and Fix It
First time I have used Bat Tech and will certainly use them again. Antony was great. Needed to replace the cracked screen on Dell XPS laptop. Antony was able to source the replacement screen and fix it as soon as the part arrived. Thank you, Antony, for your wonderful service.

Clear Options and Prices
I contacted Bat Tech as they are a Dell authorised repairer.
Antony gave me clear feedback on my first call, and I arranged to bring my laptop to him. He gave clear options and prices and the risks associated with repairing an XPS screen before proceeding. In the end, the screen was totally replaced, and the price and service were great.
I recommend Bat Tech.

The West Ryde team handles screens, keypads, motherboards and plenty of other faults across a wide range of models. They cover virus removal, antivirus setup, data backup and recovery too.
Repairs are typically stress-tested for 24 to 48 hours, which is a nice touch if you’d rather not be back at the counter two days later.

The main catch is the warranty. Standard coverage is three months, while six- or 12-month warranties only apply to certain repairs or replacements.
Recovered All the Data
Found this place online and so glad I did. Alen not only fixed the issue with my laptop hard drive, but he also recovered all the data. The service was top-notch, and you can tell Alen cares about the quality of his work and the service he provides. Communication was great, and everything was resolved much faster than anticipated. All the positive reviews are very much deserved.

The Repair Was Completed as Quoted
I visited to get a broken laptop hinge repaired. It looked pretty bad to me, but luckily the touchscreen was still working. Alen assessed it on the spot and gave me a quote and a timeframe. The repair was completed as quoted, and everything went smoothly. It seems like a trustworthy local business. Would recommend, and I’d go there again if I had other devices with issues.

4. Sydney Repair Centre

Address: 20/105 Miller Street
Contact: (02) 9955 6666
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 AM-6 PM; Saturday, 10 AM-3 PM
Sydney Repair Centre is handy when your laptop, phone and tablet all decide to misbehave at once.
Their North Sydney shop handles multiple device types under one roof, with free repair quotes and data recovery thrown into the mix.
They work on laptops alongside mobiles and tablets, so it’s a practical stop if you’ve got more than one gadget causing grief. The 8 AM weekday opening is especially useful for squeezing in a drop-off before work.
Their data recovery service covers damaged laptops, hard drives and other storage devices. That makes them a solid option when the files matter just as much as the hardware.
The main snag is warranty clarity. Available info shows conflicting three-month and one-year warranty information, so I’d confirm the exact coverage before booking.
They Honoured the Warranty and Fixed All the Issues Afterwards
They did a good job on a MacBook motherboard replacement, when a lot of other shops didn’t want to take it. Had a few hiccups after the repair, but they honoured the warranty and fixed all the issues afterwards.

5. Safemode Computer Service

Contact: 1800 85 83 82 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9 AM-6 PM; Saturday, 10 AM-4 PM; Sunday, 10 AM-2 PM

They handle liquid damage, broken hinges, battery replacements, overheating issues, and Solid-State Drive (SSD) upgrades.
In-store visits start with a free quick diagnostic and no-obligation quote, which takes some sting out of the process.
A free rental computer may be available while yours is being repaired, depending on stock. Seven-day opening hours make them easier to fit around work or uni too.
The catch is that free pickup and delivery come with conditions. You’ll need to accept the quote and have at least $99 in labour, otherwise a $30 courier fee applies.
Successfully Retrieve My Data
I had a great experience with SafeMode Computer Service in Enmore. James was efficient, knowledgeable, and really helpful throughout the process. I had a corrupt hard drive, and he was able to successfully retrieve my data, which was such a relief. Communication was clear, and the service was quick and professional. Highly recommend James if you need reliable computer or data recovery services.

Replace a Motherboard on My MacBook Pro
I thought there were four certainties in life-birth, death, taxes and complete data loss when doing any repair on a computer.
However, this was not the case with Safemode. Not only did they replace a motherboard on my MacBook Pro and clean the fan and heatsink- my data was still there on my desktop!
This latter part was something the digital oligarch, the Apple Store, wouldn’t do, and they quoted double the price to replace the motherboard.
I highly recommend this small business.
