Cons

An incredible auto repair experience

I had my car’s spark plugs and ignition coils repaired here, and it was an incredible auto repair experience. The mechanic was extremely professional and offered fair pricing. They even provided me with a free rental car during the repair process. I highly recommend this auto shop.

We also like how flexible they are, with mechanics working on family cars, light-commercial vehicles, and fleets.

The main issue is their hours. Sadly, their shop is closed on Sundays, so you’ll have to wait until they’re open when issues arise on a weekend.

Pros

  • Performs minor and major engine repairs
  • Uses diagnostic and scanning tools for engine-light and electrical faults
  • Provides diesel-specific services
  • Services family cars, commercial vehicles, and business fleets

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays

Perfect diagnosis. Reasonable price

Great service. Perfect diagnosis. Reasonable price. I had a ‘cluttering noise’ issue in my 2006 Toyota Aurion. This was identified as a ‘water pump’ failure by Daniel by doing a servicing and the water pump was changed at a reasonable cost. I will recommend ‘Sydney City Auto Care’ and will use their services again for sure. Thanks Daniel.

They diagnosed it

My VW Tiguan was spluttering and engine light flashing. After seeing that the local dealership could not fit me in for 3 days i decided to check with Sydney Mechanic which was right near my work. Best decision ever. They diagnosed it (including sending the report and pictures), replaced the plugs and ignition coil all in the same day even though i brought it in after 1pm. Well priced, honest and friendly. Will not go anywhere else.

Conveniently located in Camperdown, Sydney City Auto Centre handles minor and major engine repairs, supplies and fits exchange engines, and can rebuild an engine when a suitable replacement unit is unavailable.

Basically, the workshop offers comprehensive services. They do engine tune-ups, fuel-injector cleaning, air-intake and fuel-line inspections, and water-pump leak inspections.

Their Engine Control Unit (ECU) diagnostics team gives customers a quote and advice before repair work begins. We really like their process, since it’s straightforward.

The catch is, they aren’t the most accessible auto repair shop because they’re closed on weekends. As a result, they can’t service emergency breakdowns immediately unless you bring your car on a weekday.

Pros

  • Performs minor and major engine repairs
  • Supplies and fits exchange engines
  • Transparent ECU diagnostics process
  • Central location in Camperdown

Cons

  • No weekend services

They fixed my car promptly
