Great selection and excellent service
Nice wine varietals, good service, and huge shop. They do have something for everyone, whether it’s regions, grape varietals, or even price points. The ladies serving us on a weekend were super nice, very meticulous with their showcase, and good with their recommendations.
We got ourselves the tasting flights, and that allowed us to try a series of wines that they carry, before going deeper into any specific wines that we like.

Friendly staff and fun atmosphere
Stopped by here on a Sunday afternoon for wine tasting. The person who helped me out was so friendly and helpful in selections and we tailored the tasting based on what how I liked the first 2 samples I tried. If you buy 2 bottles they waive the tasting fee. They also gave flights and charcuterie boards. The tasting room is also near a bunch of restaurants in spice alley… definitely a fun night to spend with someone!

Memorable wine tour for hens party
I used Suzanne and Tastes Of The Hunter Wine Tours to organize a big day of wine tasting and lunch for my sisters hens. I wanted something lovely and memorable without the tackiness sometimes that comes along with other hens tours. IT WAS SUCH A GREAT DAY! No question or request was too small. Suzanne’s recommendations we spot on and she helped booked all the appointments directly. The bus and driver on the day were fantastic and helped make the day seamless so I could enjoy myself. Would recommend Tastes Of The Hunter Wine Tours to anyone

Fantastic service and great experience
Outstanding wine tasting experience! Our driver Des couldn’t have been any better. He was very patient, friendly, and accommodating to everyone; he even took our group photos in-between trips. We visited four different wineries/distilleries, as well as a chocolate and cheese store to conclude the tour. All of the wineries were unique, and offered a great selection of wine/spirits to taste. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and the customer service was top notch. I recommend ‘Taste Of The Hunter Wine Tours’ to anybody that is looking to visit the Hunter Valley. You won’t be disappointed. 10/10

5. Château Tanunda Sydney Cellar Door

Hours: Monday to Sunday 1:00 PM-8:00 PM (Happy Hour 4:00 PM-6:00 PM)
Château Tanunda Sydney Cellar Door brings Barossa Valley history to The Rocks by pouring rare old-vine vintages exclusively at their venue. Tasting these historical releases allows wine lovers to experience classic Australian winemaking traditions.
Their winemakers use gentle, minimal-intervention methods by hand-picking grapes without crushing or filtering them. This method preserves natural fruit character so the authentic flavours can shine through.
We also appreciate their trained ambassadors who serve every pour in fine Riedel glassware to enhance the tasting experience.
The only downside is that their food options are extremely limited. Tastings include only light palate-cleansing crackers, so planning meals before or after visiting ensures you don’t go hungry while enjoying the daily afternoon happy hours.
Special Barossa experience in Sydney
An absolute hidden gem. Château Tanunda in The Rocks delivers a truly special Barossa experience without leaving Sydney. The wines are exceptional, with vines dating back decades, and every pour has real depth and character.
The tasting itself is intimate and beautifully curated. Maggie, Michael and Edward made the experience warm, knowledgeable and genuinely enjoyable without ever feeling scripted.
If you appreciate serious red wine or just want a memorable, relaxed tasting in a stunning setting, this place is a must. Easily one of the best wine experiences in the city.
