The 5 Best Wedding Dress Boutiques in Sydney to Visit Before You Say “Yes”
Trying on wedding dresses is one of those moments every woman remembers—basically a rite of passage. I mean, how many chick flicks growing up had that magical, twirling-in-a-gown scene? There’s really something special about it.
So when it’s your turn to hunt for the one, knowing where to look makes a huge difference. With all the wedding details you have to think about—venues, photographers, and more—we’re here to make finding your wedding dress a breeze.
My team went on to look for the best wedding dress boutiques in Sydney, and it was a blast. Here are our top picks that you should visit!
How much does a wedding dress cost in Sydney?
A wedding dress in Sydney typically costs around AUD $1,500–$5,000. Luxe designer or couture pieces can climb above AUD $10,000–$15,000, while simpler or off-the-rack options may start closer to AUD $800–$2,000.
1. Since We Met

Address: The Dymocks Building, level 3, shop 10/428 George St
Phone: +61 2 9230 0860
Business hours:
- Monday: 10:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Tuesday: Closed
- Wednesday to Saturday: 10:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Sunday: Closed
If you’re the kind of bride who walks into a boutique and immediately feels overwhelmed by 200 gowns staring back at you, Since We Met takes the opposite approach.
Instead of endless racks, they carry a tighter selection of ready-to-wear gowns from international designers. The silhouettes cover A-lines, fishtails, ballgowns, and more, so there’s still variety without the decision fatigue.
During our visit, we also noticed they carry bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride dresses. It’s great for those who want to coordinate looks across their wedding parties.
They’re very flexible. They combine ready-to-wear gowns, customised gowns, and even dress hire.
We can also vouch for them for customised gowns. Eva quickly understands clients’ vision, and she’s surprisingly good even when the designs are tricky.
One bride wanted a two-in-one gown for a ceremony and reception. To our fascination, Eva did a dress with a detachable skirt so the look could transform from classic to modern as the evening progressed.
The experience isn’t flawless across the board, though. Some people mentioned it could get hard getting through them by phone.
I felt genuinely cared for
“Since We Met Bridal was the very first place I visited in Sydney, and it ended up being the only place I needed. From the moment I walked in, I felt genuinely cared for. Eva was absolutely wonderful — attentive, kind, and incredibly patient. She helped me find my dream wedding dress and made the entire experience stress-free and special. Eva went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire process. Her care, patience, and eye for detail truly stood out. The alterations to the length and waist were flawless, and the dress fit me perfectly.”

She truly listened to what I envisioned
“I had the most beautiful experience at this bridal store. Prior to visiting here, I had trouble finding my dress. However from the moment I walked in, I felt so welcomed and genuinely cared for. Eva was incredibly attentive, patient, and knowledgeable — she truly listened to what I envisioned and helped me find a dress that felt so me. The quality of the gowns and the attention to detail were exceptional. I never felt rushed or pressured, just supported and celebrated throughout the whole process.”

2. Eternal Bridal Sydney

Address: LV 2, The Strand Arcade, 412-414 George St
Phone: +61 2 9223 4715
Business hours:
- Monday to Friday: 10 AM – 6 PM
- Saturday: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Sunday: 10 AM – 4 PM
Eternal Bride stands out with its designer roster. They carry globally recognised couture labels, including Galia Lahav and Lee Petra Grebenau.
In other words, it’s a great shop for those wanting a modern luxury bridal than minimal or bohemian styles.
From what we’ve heard, several of the designers stocked here use 20 to 30 measurements. Clients could serve as testimonials because most of them have always loved the fit and often describe it as “couture.”
We’ve also noticed other factors that make it more couture. Appointments are one-on-one. There are also stylists who can guide brides based on their vision.
Every bride we’ve come across has had a fun time fitting here. Who wouldn’t? The space is beautiful, and the fitting rooms are spacious.
Pricing is very much aligned with the couture positioning. They’re more in the premium side, which means gowns are generally aimed at brides prepared to invest in their dress. However, a lot of people appreciate the transparent pricing.
Soo was absolutely a dream to work with!
“Soo was absolutely a dream to work with! She was so positive and encouraging from the very beginning and never made me feel like I was trying on too many dresses. She allowed me to explore different dress options and made us all feel included and special. There were so many different styles, cuts, fabrics and designs from varying price points that I felt like I could stay there forever and play dress-up.”

3. Emerald Bridal

Address: 29 Devlin St, Ryde
Phone: +61 2 9808 5535
Business hours:
- Monday: 10 AM – 4 PM
- Tuesday: Closed
- Wednesday: 10 AM – 4 PM
- Thursday: 12 PM – 7 PM
- Friday: 10 AM – 5 PM
- Saturday: 9:30 AM – 5 PM
- Sunday: 9 AM – 5 PM
During our visit to Emerald Bride, we had a fun chat with some staff. They said they’ve catered to brides who’ve had weddings on beaches, garden parties, or traditional venues. And honestly, we believed them.
The variety can pretty much back it up. We’ve seen ballgowns, mermaids, and boho styles. The best part is, they have gowns in sizes 8–16. Not a lot of boutiques have that range, so we appreciate that.
This is a great shop for those who want personalised fittings. Just make sure to make an appointment with them, and they’ll be your fairy godmothers.
The appointments last 60–75 minutes for first visits. During this time, brides could have a private space and a stylist helping them narrow down options.
One bride shared how her stylist asked detailed questions about each dress she tried on.
Even when none of the dresses initially chosen felt right, the stylist used that feedback to choose another gown that turned out to be “the one.”
However, we’ve also heard of an isolated case where an appointment booking wasn’t recorded. The staff did offer another slot later that day, but the situation understandably left a bad impression.
Very happy with my dress and cannot recommend them enough
“I had found Emerald Bridal through a facebook bridal chat and people gave great reviews for them and I can see why. Elena helped us on the day. She was kind, warm and offered a lot of information on the dresses but not too much to overwhelm you. This was the first bridal store I went to and I was super fortunate to find my dress. I believe this was partly from the amazing staff at Emerald Bridal and they’re efforts to make this experience personal to each bride. Very happy with my dress and cannot recommend them and their seamstress Fab enough. Thank you Emerald Bridal and Fab.”

Business hours:
- Monday: Closed
- Tuesday to Friday: 10 AM – 5 PM
- Saturday: 9 AM – 4 PM

I know some of you have heard of designers like Madison James and Wilderly, given that you’ve been reading this article until this point. If you’re a fan of their work, it’s your lucky day. Brides of Sydney features them.
They have a great in-store experience here. The private dressing rooms and a lounge area for guests help create that intimate bridal appointment.
From what we’ve heard, they allow brides and their guests to browse the racks themselves. It prevents brides from overlooking gowns that could be the right one.
Clients said the staff are patient, accommodating, and supportive during appointments. Some brides would even book multiple times, and they’d be happily serving them just the same.
We also found it helpful that they have an on-site seamstress. Alterations can sometimes mean an extra round of appointments at a different shop, so having that service in-house is very practical.
That said, we noticed that they have a limited selection for plus-size brides.
Brides of Sydney exceeded all my expectations
“My experience bridal dress shopping at Brides of Sydney exceeded all my expectations. The store is beautifully presented, and Leona my consultant was incredible, she listened to exactly what I did/ didn’t want in a dress and the general overall vibe of what I wanted for my day. Leona than worked magic. Like a fairy god mother she took a gown I picked and produced a veil that effortlessly completed the vision. Leona’s knowledge and ability to convert a ‘vibe’ into the perfect gown and veil ensemble, with extra guidance on hair styling, jewellery options, and best boutique colours / size for the right look is something you only achieve with instincts that reflect the love for your work and years of experience dressing brides.”

Had a great experience purchasing a dress here
“Had a great experience purchasing a dress here. The staff were lovely and happy to accommodate multiple bookings. The on-site seamstress did a great job with alterations and saved me having to go elsewhere to have that done. I was so lucky to find my dress size and they had it ready so quickly.”

5. The Ivory Room Bridal

Address: Shop 6/168 Oxford St, Paddington
Business hours:
- Monday: 9 AM – 5:30 PM
- Tuesday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Wednesday: 12 PM – 9 PM
- Thursday: 12 PM – 5:30 PM
- Friday to Saturday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Sunday: 10 AM – 3 PM
Trying on bridal dresses is just as important as the wedding itself, and The Ivory Room Bridal gets that. That’s why they put a lot of effort into making their dress-shopping experience feel special, not just the dresses themselves.
The space helps set the mood. Walking in already feels like an occasion. Each appointment usually takes place in a private bridal suite with good lighting and comfortable seating for family and friends.
We’ve heard that they even offer champagne and macarons to add to the celebratory vibe.
We noticed that their selection leans toward modern bridal designers, such as Tom Sebastien, Liz Martinez, and Blanche. The gowns often have sleek silhouettes with romantic details rather than traditional ballgown styles.
The team is very supportive and attentive during appointments. Boring times are rare here because even the staff would come join the hyping. It’s all balanced out by honest recommendations, though, don’t worry.
If there’s something worth improving, it’d be communication outside of appointments. A few clients mentioned slow responses to emails.
The overall experience was amazing
“My experience at The Ivory Room was absolutely beautiful. Sita was my stylist for my first try-on and she made the entire experience feel relaxed, special, and completely pressure-free. She truly made me feel comfortable and taken care of from the moment I walked in. Christie was my stylist for my second appointment and she was just as lovely. The dresses I tried on were stunning, and the overall experience was amazing.”

“I had such an amazing experience at The Ivory Room! From the moment I walked in, everything felt calm, elegant, and so special. The selection of wedding dresses was absolutely beautiful, every piece felt unique and carefully chosen. I couldn’t recommend The Ivory Room more highly to any bride-to-be!”
