ULTIMATE Travel is a top pick for adventurous travelers, particularly those new to backpacking or group travel. Specializing in tours across Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia, they offer well-structured experiences designed to connect people and encourage exploration.

Their guided tours are packed with activities, from cultural exchanges to outdoor adventures, making them perfect for travelers who enjoy a busy schedule and social environment.

However, the rigid itinerary structure may not appeal to everyone. Some travelers feel restricted by the tightly packed schedule, which leaves little room for independent exploration or relaxation.

Additionally, while ULTIMATE Travel offers exceptional organization, the higher pricing might not be suitable for those on a tight budget. The focus on pre-arranged activities can also feel limiting for those who prefer more spontaneous travel experiences.

Overall, ULTIMATE Travel is ideal for people seeking social, well-planned adventures with a strong group dynamic, although it may not fit the bill for those looking for flexibility or budget-friendly options.

Pros

  • Friendly, knowledgeable guides
  • Ideal for first-time travelers and backpackers
  • Social atmosphere
  • Well-planned itineraries
  • Diverse destinations

Cons

  • Tours may feel rushed
  • Not ideal for independent travelers
  • Higher pricing than competitors
  • Lacks unique destinations

Absolutely recommended

“Just finishing my last few days on the 5 week tour with ultimate travel. I can comfortably say that it was one of the most unexpectedly enjoyable experience I’ve ever done. I booked a week before the tour started unsure whether I would enjoy it after solo travelling for 2 months. The tour gave me exactly what I needed, laughter, fun and amazing experiences that made better with the group I was with.”

One of the best experiences

“I have just finished travelling up the east coast for the past 6 weeks and can say it has been one of the best experiences of my life. Having transport, accommodation, activities all sorted for you made the trip so much more enjoyable. My tour  guide Marcus was super friendly, bubbly, very helpful  and always got involved in social activities with us to make sure we felt like one big family, made sure no one ever felt left out. The activities and experiences were once in a lifetime. You even get help and support once the tour is over weather your staying in Australia or travelling else where, so I highly recommend ultimate travel.”

Their affordable packages cater to a variety of experiences. These include Sydney city tours and day trips around Australia.

Known for their helpful and friendly staff, Happy Travels Sydney ensures a customized experience that fits the needs of each traveler.

There are occasional misunderstandings about package details, and clarity during the booking process can be lacking. Moreover, with a focus on affordability, luxurious accommodations, and premium features are rarely included in the tours.

Despite these drawbacks, Happy Travels Sydney is a solid choice for travelers prioritizing affordability and variety over high-end services, making it an excellent option for those with tight budgets.

Their itineraries are carefully crafted to include premium activities, such as behind-the-scenes access and unique sightseeing opportunities. This ensures a personalized and enriching experience.

The exclusivity of Diamond Tours comes at a cost, and the higher pricing may not be suitable for budget-conscious travelers. Additionally, limited availability during peak seasons like summer means booking well in advance is essential.

“We had the pleasure of experiencing Scotty’s tour, and it was truly exceptional! From the moment we met, he created a welcoming atmosphere, making sure everyone felt comfortable and excited for the day ahead. Scotty is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also passionate about the history and culture. The way he connected his stories with the tour members was engaging, and it made the experience unforgettable. We also appreciated how well organized the tour was. Everything flowed seamlessly, and we never felt rushed. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, personable, and professional guide, we can’t recommend Scotty enough. A truly 5-star experience!”

Wonderful space

“This tour was really great. The day started at the hotel where we were picked up by our guide Scotty and started the drive up to the mountains. The bus was comfortable and very well kept. Beautiful views along the way and fantastic at the top. Honestly the best part of the day was the wealth of information and friendly conversation with Scott. He really makes an effort to give you a tailored experience and not just a rote memorized spiel. My kids (9 & 6) had a blast as well. Highly recommend.”

Ozia Tours offers budget-friendly day trips from Sydney to stunning destinations such as the Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley, and other coastal gems.

Known for their efficient and friendly service, Ozia Tours provides a well-balanced mix of sightseeing, adventure, and relaxation. This makes them an excellent option for those seeking an affordable yet fulfilling day out.

However, some travelers have mentioned that the tours can feel rushed, as they try to cover multiple attractions in a single day.

The group sizes can also be large during peak times like the summer, which may detract from the personal experience some prefer. Additionally, the budget pricing means travelers forgo luxuries like premium transportation or gourmet meals.

That said, Ozia Tours is a reliable and affordable option for day trips, but it may not satisfy those seeking a more leisurely or high-end experience.

Pros

  • Budget-friendly options
  • Well-organized day trips
  • Popular destinations
  • Suitable for travelers of all ages
  • Friendly and approachable guides

Cons

  • Lacks personalization for large groups

Highly recommended

“Took a day trip to Perisher on 31/8/2024 and it was an amazing experience that was led by tour guide Sunny that gave every person on board undivided attention to any questions. It was a smooth journey to Perisher with no delays and the bus left on time consistently. Ski / Snowboard rentals total was around $101 (including, winter jacket, pants, snow walking boots, snowboard boots & gloves). Heavily recommend bringing beanies to cover ears for windy days. Ski lift pass was $249 for a full day and $219 for a half day pass (8:30am to 1pm), recommend saving $$ on ski lift if new to skiing/snowboard; there’s a separate area for beginners to practice. Overall was an enjoyable experience and you’ll be super tired by the 3pm departure time.”

– Nicholas L., Google Review

Friendly atmosphere

“Satisfied! The tour guide May was friendly, and provided clear information and instructions. The bus was clear, Good price for a round snow trip and all other expenses all on your own.  Recommended! Especially for your first-time with a small group to experience the snow.”

“I had an amazing day exploring the Blue Mountains! We were lucky to enjoy perfect weather, which made the stunning waterfalls and viewpoints even more breathtaking. Our guide, Mark, truly made this trip unforgettable. He shared so many interesting stories and insights during the tour and even on the drive there. His enthusiasm and knowledge added so much value to the experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour and will definitely do it again next time. A must-do experience!”

Will book again

“Our guide for the day, Mark, gave us a great experience and was eager to stare so much about Australia. Aside from what the tour involved, which was beautiful, he added so much about his personal experiences and always added fun trivia & even music by Australian bands for the ride home!  He definitely went above & beyond making sure we saw it all!”
