Constant fatigue or sudden weight shifts can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re trying to work out whether your hormones are to blame. Finding the right care is the first step toward feeling like yourself again.

1. Sydney Endocrinology

Website:sydneyendocrinology.com.au
Address: Suite 3, 319 Pacific Highway, North Sydney
Contact: (02) 9157 9095
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Managing a hormonal condition gets a lot easier when your whole team sits under one roof. Sydney Endocrinology runs exactly that integrated setup, pairing expert endocrinologists with on-site dietitians to tackle complex thyroid disorders.
During my visit to their North Sydney office, the smooth coordination between team members really stood out, especially since they lean so heavily into personalised care.
Their telehealth options and structured lifestyle programs also make them a practical choice for long-term tracking.
That said, some patients feel the initial consultation can run a bit general rather than deeply detailed.
If you arrive with very specific expectations, the conversation may lean toward standard management guidelines first, so it helps to bring your questions written down.

So grateful to be under their care
I have been seeing Dr Tonks and Dietitian Lara Mathers. They are both great and really take time to listen. I have been dealing with my thyroid on and off and felt unwell for a few years but it gets brushed off by the GP. Dr Tonks and Lara were able to diagnose me and help me with lifestyle changes, diet and nutrition. I am so greatful to be under their care. If only all doctors and GPs are like Lara and Dr Tonks!

That integrated setup allows for structured diagnostic pathways, so your hormone therapy and long-term monitoring stay fully coordinated.
His experience across major Sydney hospital systems also brings a competent hand to advanced endocrine disorders.
On the downside, some patients have raised concerns about his bedside manner during consultations.
A few felt the communication style came across as a little dismissive, which made it harder to voice specific questions. It can help to prepare your key points ahead of time.

3. Sydney Advanced Endocrinology

Website:sydneyadvancedendocrinology.com.au
Address: Suite 506, Level 5, St Vincent’s Clinic, 438 Victoria St, Darlinghurst
Contact: (02) 8382 6575
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
If you’re facing a complex tertiary case or a possible thyroid malignancy, an academic-led environment can offer the technical depth you need.
Sydney Advanced Endocrinology delivers highly specialised endocrine care led by senior consultants with major university and hospital appointments.
The clinic is also closely linked with the St Vincent’s network, which gives you direct access to advanced diagnostics and multidisciplinary hospital pathways.
Sitting right in a major medical precinct also means fast imaging and pathology when you’re managing difficult hormonal issues.
Because it’s a specialised academic service, though, it stays focused on complex tertiary conditions rather than routine, first-line thyroid checkups.
You’ll also need a formal general practitioner (GP) referral to navigate their system, so it’s not the spot for a quick one-off screening.
4. Dr Sophie Chan

Website:hormonehealth.net.au
Address: Suite 61, Level 3, 1 Railway Parade, Burwood
Contact: (02) 9016 4359
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Patients who want a research-driven approach to hormonal health will appreciate Dr Sophie Chan, who holds elite academic credentials and a doctorate in endocrine research.
She pairs those qualifications with an integrated clinic model that includes on-site dietitians in Burwood.
When my sister spoke with her team last year, she found their evidence-based care plans and warm communication style reassuring for managing a chronic condition.
That focus on patient education makes the clinic a comfortable home base for long-term tracking.
It’s worth noting, though, that the clinic isn’t built for very simple or routine thyroid checks. Since the whole framework is geared toward comprehensive chronic care, a quick one-off screening might feel more elaborate than you need.
