The 5 Best Demolition Services in Sydney That Tore It All EXCEPT My Dreams

Quality of Service: I selected Sydney demolition services, known to be careful and compliant with safety standards. They must also have satisfactory online ratings.

Expertise: It was a no-brainer for me that the demolishers must have the proper certifications, ample technical knowledge, and decades of industry experience.

Communication: You should be able to easily communicate with the staff whenever you contact them. This is crucial for transparency and seamless operations.

Range of Services: The demolition companies must provide a good number of offerings, including residential and commercial demolitions, site clearing, asbestos removal, and the like. Permit gathering efficiency was essential as well.

Equipment: I reviewed service providers with modern machinery that strictly adheres to proper safety compliance for the cleanest and safest results.

Value and Cost-Effectiveness: Competitive, transparent, and detailed fees were my priorities in making sure that clients get the most out of what they paid for.

Sometimes, you just want a second home—something you’re not yet totally attached to. Why? Because I wanted an open concept game room, that’s why. Luckily, I found a very old property, and it will be properly demolished in 2 weeks!

That path wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows, though. I’ve called many demolition workers in Sydney, and some gave really high quotes, limited services, or poor communication, which turned me off.

But over time, I’ve gained several reliable options on my list. Should you be a property investor, new homeowner, or a visionary like me, I’ve reviewed some top-rated demolition services in Sydney below.

1. Eco Demolition NSW Pty/Ltd

For more than 18 years, Eco Demolition in Sydney has catered to everything from house demolition and excavation services to asbestos removal and site preparation.

It can also do lease, office, and internal strip-outs (removal of non-structural elements), as well as partial demolitions for any commercial buildings. That’s why for me, this company is definitely worth considering for small or big-scale projects.

On top of that, I’m happy that clients don’t have to worry about getting approvals from either private certifiers or local councils—the company handles it all!

A former client also told me about how organised the team is after the demolition process. It prioritises recycling and responsible disposal too! In my opinion, this adds to how reliable, efficient, and environmentally friendly the company is.

In addition, I appreciate that you can call here for emergency services since it’s reachable 24 hours a day.

Yet, there are times when the quotation process takes longer during peak periods. If this happens to you, it’s best to keep your lines open or consider calling a backup option.

Pros

  • Reachable 24/7
  • 18+ years of experience
  • Comprehensive services
  • Big on recycling
  • Neat post-demolition cleanup

Cons

  • Reports of delayed quotes (busy seasons)

Fantastic Job

“Adam and his workmen did a fantastic job. They worked hard and well and I am delighted with the results. Thanks also to Sue for facilitating the whole process. I highly recommend this team who go above and beyond to complete work at a vary reasonable and competitive price.”

– Ms. Angela Urbano, Google Review

“ECO Demolition did a great job with our demolition. The process was smooth, professional, and on schedule. The team was efficient, kept the site tidy, and communication with Sue was super easy throughout. Would happily recommend them.”

Evolve Demolition boasts over 2 decades of expertise. It covers residential, commercial, and industrial properties with extensive services, involving partial and complete demolitions, internal stripouts, site clearing, and asbestos removal.

I also find it incredible that it has already worked with major clients, like the NSW Government, Westfield, MET School, The King’s School, and Stockland. So in my view, this company is more than capable of handling complex demolition projects.

Besides getting permits, I think it’s very helpful that the team can notify your neighbours for you. Really, I feel all you have to do is chill out as the experts do their thing.

A previous client I had a chat with also shared how the team has been hands-on and highly attentive with her every request.

Nevertheless, this company can get a high demand, which means limited booking slots. If interested, I suggest calling the team weeks or even months in advance.

Pros

  • 20+ years in the business
  • Trusted by several big names
  • Also assists with neighbour notifications
  • Can manage complex demolitions

Cons

  • Fewer slots than others

Great Rates and Quick Response

“Great service, great rates and quick response to my request -thank you Josh and team will use your services again”

– Ms. Candy Cole, Google Review

Amazing Job

“The boys from Evolve Demolition worked so hard and did an amazing job removing our slab of concrete. They were honest and up front with all their dealings with us. Definitely glad we had them do our job. Thank you Josh, Danny and Daniel!”

– Ms. Maggie Kamel, Google Review

Super Demolition is a family-owned Sydney-based demolition company praised for its fast turnarounds. I believe this is convenient for small home teardowns, and even more so for bigger commercial sites.

It’s also amazing for me that it does all the paperwork. This includes licences, council and neighbour notifications, and clearance certificates, as well as electrical, gas, phone, and internet disconnections. In my book, your life would be as hassle-free as can be!

I love that it gives special offers too! For example, if you accept your quote within 30 days, you can snag free perks like temporary fencing, portaloo (portable toilet) hire, sediment control, water metre capping, and hygienist clearance certificate.

It’s also handy for me that its team promises to beat other written quotes. My advice is to contact a few other companies first before reaching out to this team.

That said, I noticed that beyond being closed on Sundays, there’s not a lot of info on its availability for emergency services.

Pros

  • Quick and efficient turnarounds
  • Also manages service disconnections
  • Freebies for fast quote acceptance
  • Tries to beat competitors’ quotes

Cons

  • Limited focus on emergency services

Excellent Workmanship and Speedy Demo

“Jack and his team are really professional in the way they handled the demolition and then the completion of all paperwork. Their workmanship and speedy demo and removal is worth praising and exceeded my expectation.”

– Mr. Sanjeev Prasad, Google Review

So Professional

“A huge thanks to Jack and his team for helping us out with our demolition. We had a ridiculous amount of illegal dumping on our site to clean up and Jacks team were so professional taking on EPA advice, assessing and organising asbestos clearance to ensure the site could be cleaned properly. Cant thank you enough Jack.”

– Ms. Michelle Stephens, Google Review

Home Demolitions in Sydney has been in the industry since 2004, so I reckon it already has some of the most experienced and skilled tradesmen in its roster.

It provides full home demolitions and site excavations, as well as asbestos removal and remediation, so I bet it’s already a go-to option for any project size.

I also learned that it demolishes an average of 8 projects per week! I feel this means the team is constantly upgrading its skills, since it doesn’t truly get idle for months at a time.

And you don’t need to opt for any special deal to get the 30-metre temporary fencing either! I appreciate that this one is free for the duration of a month’s hire.

For reference, some of its notable clients are Kaplam, Merit Homes, Bellriver, Burbank, and Worthington Homes.

Nonetheless, I wish that the company offered more information about progress tracking tools during demolition projects. In my opinion, this is an innovative way to keep things transparent.

Pros

  • Over 2 decades in the game
  • Consistent workload (8 a week)
  • Free 1-month fencing
  • Worked with several major builders

Cons

  • Limited info on progress tracking

Very Happy

“Top team and happy with the outcome. As a developer, ive used a lot of different demo companies and rarely do they deliver on the quality i need first go. Home Demolitions got it right straight away. Thanks guys, very happy with the job.”

– Mr. John Mckenzie, Google Review

Delivered On Time and On Budget

“Finally a company that delivers on their promises! We had a difficult block to demo and Home Demolitions delivered on time and on budget. The team are professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I won’t be using anyone else moving forward, highly recommended.”

– Mr. Philip Mackertich, Google Review

Gabrael House Demolition is an award-winning house demolisher in Sydney that’s worth checking out. I believe its awards and recognitions (Champion at the Australian Trades Small Business Awards) in 2023 and onwards truly add to its street cred.

Besides house demolitions, it also offers asbestos removals, site remediations, and site preparations. Other than that, this company has been going strong in the industry—it’s been in the industry since 1995!

And unlike others that focus on selected areas, I find it handy that its team serves all Sydney areas, making it a highly accessible option.

What’s also underrated for me is that it doesn’t require your personal information when calculating initial costs. On other websites, you’ll have to enter your name and contact details before getting a quote. However, this would only be an estimate.

You should still have a detailed consultation, though. Because if there’s one thing I’m concerned about, it’s the extra costs for complex sites that can come as a surprise later.

Pros

  • Multiple awards
  • 30+ years of expertise
  • Sydney-wide coverage
  • Hassle-free cost calculator

Cons

  • Potential surprise charges

On Time and Worked Fast

“Gabrael Demolition did a great job with our demo. The team was on time, worked fast, and kept everything safe and tidy. Throughout the whole thing I felt so supported and informed. What was meant to be a stressful process turned into something that was seamless and easy. They levelled my site and it was left spotless for my builders to start their work. Very happy with the service and would definitely recommend them. Thank you to Janette and Zac for being such a good team.”

– Ms. Paula Nassour, Google Review

Cleanest Demolition Work Ever

“I had a monster house on a 1000m2 block. The cleanest demolition work I’ve experienced. Straightforward and no nonsense. Zac and his team were a pleasure to work with.”

– Mr. Braxton Shamon, Google Review
