The 5 Studios with the Best Maternity Photography in Sydney for Timeless Pregnancy Moments

Portfolio: We looked closely at the photographers’ past works to see their work quality. We checked for consistency across different shoots and how natural the subjects look.

Pricing and Inclusions: We reviewed how clear and transparent the pricing is, including what’s included in each package.

Availability: We considered how easy it is to book a session and how flexible they are with scheduling.

Customer Service: We evaluated how responsive and helpful the staff are from the first inquiry to the final delivery of photos.

Pregnancy is one of those canon events that tends to sneak up and quietly change everything in a woman’s life. It can be challenging, sure, but it’s also one of the most meaningful chapters.

Before you know it, you’ll be juggling babysitters, school runs, and tiny socks that mysteriously disappear in the laundry. But right now, in this in-between stage, it’s worth pausing to capture those 9 months leading up to meeting a whole new little human.

With that in mind, we explored some of the best maternity photography services in Sydney. These are the ones that stood out to us because they really capture that warmth worth looking back on.

How much does maternity photography cost in Sydney?

Maternity photography in Sydney typically costs around AUD $400 to $1,200+. Simpler sessions lie on the lower end, and more polished, styled shoots land closer to the higher range.

Blossom Brook Studio is a maternity photography team in Sydney that understands the emotional side of pregnancy just as much as the technical one.

From what we’ve heard from clients, Daniel and Sabrina stood out not just as photographers. They also have a calm and reassuring presence during shoots.

Even clients who initially had low confidence about changing bodies felt pampered and sexy during photo sessions.

We also loved how they’re very hands-on with posing and guidance. Instead of leaving clients awkwardly wondering what to do, they suggest poses tailored to body types.

That attention shows up in the final images too. Several clients noted that even unedited photos already looked flattering, thanks to clever angles and lighting.

They primarily work in a controlled studio environment. But if you’re someone who wants to have pictures taken on beaches or forests, their deluxe package branches into outdoor locations.

Looking through their packages, though, we could say they’re on the premium side.

The good thing is, you’re getting a high volume of photos (often 100+ originals), a selection of professionally retouched images, and access to maternity gowns and styling support.

Pros

  • Strong client comfort and guidance
  • Confidence-boosting experience
  • Expert posing and direction
  • High-quality image output
  • Natural-looking retouching
  • Variety in shooting styles
  • High photo value
  • Included styling support

Cons

  • Higher pricing

Such an amazing experience

“I had such an amazing experience with my maternity photoshoot. The studio was so clean, and I received such a nice warm welcome since I step into the studio. The photographer makes me feel relaxed and give a really good directions during the photoshoot. They have a really nice selection of outfits and a private room to change and for your partner to relax while waiting. The photos came out amazing!! Highly recommended. I am definitely coming back to take bubs photo here”

I highly recommend this photo studio!

“Our family went for the “Maternity Cherish” package with my husband and children in the session. Daniel and Sabrina are very friendly and pleasant, putting us at ease, and my talkative husband enjoyed chatting with them. Daniel worked on the photos very quickly, and when I received the original (not retouched) photos, there were so many that I felt didn’t even need retouching: even though I gained a lot of weight during pregnancy, the photos were taken at angles that made me look great. And for the photos that I have chosen for retouching, the retouch looks very natural. I highly recommend this photo studio!”

Business hours:

For those who are looking for affordable maternity photographers in Sydney, we recommend taking Faithful Photography a look.

Their style sticks to soft lighting, natural tones, and those quiet but meaningful moments.

We could see through their portfolio that their photography ages well because it doesn’t rely on trends. If anything, it feels more like documenting a chapter than staging one.

Their mix of studio and outdoor sessions gives clients a bit of flexibility too. The studio setup has multiple backdrops, props, and even wardrobe options. Meanwhile, outdoor sessions offer that softer, lifestyle feel.

Marten and Dalia are the dynamic duo behind the studio. Clients told us how they both make them feel comfortable throughout the shoots. The best part is that Dalia’s also a makeup artist, which adds a nice layer to the service.

We also heard a lot of feedback mentioning quick turnaround times and smooth scheduling.

That said, location is a practical consideration. They’re based in Sydney’s southwest, which is ideal if you’re nearby. But for clients coming from central Sydney or the eastern suburbs, the travel could feel like a bit of a trek, especially during pregnancy.

Pros

  • Strong focus on emotions
  • Comfortable and supportive
  • Skilled duo
  • Flexible session options
  • Good variety in studio setups
  • Smooth and efficient process
  • Affordable entry session fee
  • High-quality photos

Cons

  • Commute for those in central or northern areas

Both Dalia and Marten are always a pleasure to deal with!

“Both Dalia and Marten are always a pleasure to deal with! They have been doing our family and newborn photography for the past 5 years for all our kids. Normally, our kids are camera shy, very anti-camera, but they has so much fun at faithful photography, so much so that they kept talking about their experience for days to follow. Faithful photography made the experience full of fun for the kids, for the adults, they were very accomodating and hospitable!”

These images will be cherished forever

“I had an absolutely wonderful experience with our newborn photoshoot! The photographer was incredibly patient, gentle, and professional, making both baby and parents feel completely at ease. The attention to detail and creativity in every shot truly captured the precious moments and tiny expressions beautifully. Pur baby was difficult to get to sleep. Nevertheless, the photos turned out stunning — soft, warm, and full of love. These images will be cherished forever. The sibling and family photos are just gorgeous – I can’t wait to send them to family. I highly recommend this photoshoot to any new parents looking to preserve those first magical days!”

3. Anastasia Prodous

Address: 9 Griffiths St, Sans Souci

Phone: +61 499 532 914

Business hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 10 AM – 8 PM
  • Saturday to Sunday: 12 PM – 6 PM

There’s a certain type of maternity photography that leans heavily into either candid, everyday moments or ultra-stylised editorial drama. Anastasia Prodous seems to sit right in the middle, and that balance is exactly what draws people in.

Anastasia’s work has a very distinct identity. It’s soft, feminine, and polished without feeling overly staged.

Whether she’s shooting at sunrise on a beach or inside a controlled studio setup, there’s a great focus on shaping light around the body. We’ve also heard that her studio work is more on fine-art vibes.

She consistently guides her clients during shoots. She helps with posing, directing gently, and making what could feel awkward actually enjoyable.

When it comes to price, this is where things get a bit more nuanced. Her packages are structured well and include thoughtful extras like wardrobe access and artistic bonus images.

But we’re going to be honest, this isn’t budget territory. The pricing leans premium, especially once you factor in add-ons like extra images or prints. A lot of clients think it’s worth it, though.

Pros

  • Strong artistic direction
  • Expertise in lighting and posing
  • Comfortable and guided experience
  • Wardrobe access included
  • Variety of settings
  • Structured packages
  • High-quality results
  • Good communication

Cons

  • Higher pricing

My images turned out insanely beautiful and I am so happy with them!

“Anastasia was caring and attentive from the very beginning. When I booked my shoot with her a few months before, she organised a call to discuss my ideas. She really made the whole process such an enjoyable experience. My images turned out insanely beautiful and I am so happy with them! Anastasia is an incredibly talented photographer and I couldn’t recommend her more if you are looking for a maternity, family or newborn photographer!”

What a beautiful experience it was

“I was recently mentored by Anastasia and what a beautiful experience it was. Anastasia really took the time to understand what I hoped to achieve and learn from our time together and ensured she delivered just that! It was also so great to watch her work her clients – her energy is so amazing! She then followed up by sending me a personalised editing video from our time together. I loved being mentored by Anastasia and loved that I was able to see how she holds and delivers her sessions! X”

4. Caz Captures

Address: Yeramba Ave, Caringbah South

Phone: +61 405 627 522

Business hours: Monday to Sunday: Open 24 hours

Website

If your Pinterest board says “ethereal goddess” for your maternity shoot, Caz Captures is definitely the team to call. Here, shooting feels like being in a magazine while being pregnant.

Their approach leans heavily into studio-based, fine art maternity photography. Think dramatic lighting, sculpted poses, flowing couture gowns, and editorial-style finishes.

They’re very flexible, which we appreciated. They offer two main packages (Mini and Goddess), with the option to build things up depending on how many looks or images you want. But that isn’t the option they offer.

One thing that we heard repeatedly is how much choice clients have when it comes to gowns, fabrics, backdrops, and accessories.

Where they stand out the most is their level of direction and attention to detail. They really take the time to understand each client’s vision. One person also pointed out that every detail is adjusted to make the shot perfect.

We also loved how the base packages are fairly accessible. There are also discounts, like model release or returning client perks, which can help with budgeting.

However, this style isn’t for everyone. That’s not a flaw, just a very clear positioning. For those who are after candid moments or something more documentary-style, this probably isn’t the best fit.

Pros

  • Highly polished
  • Extensive wardrobe and styling options
  • Strong creative direction and guidance
  • Comfortable and private studio
  • Personalised experience
  • Consistent aesthetic

Cons

  • Not ideal for documentary-style photography

Her warm personality and professionalism helped create a relaxed environment

“I had a wonderful experience during my maternity shoot. Caz was incredibly kind and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire session. Her warm personality and professionalism helped create a relaxed environment, and the results were truly amazing. I couldn’t be happier with the photographs—she captured such beautiful moments. Highly recommended!”

Everything was discussed and explained prior

The maternity photoshoot with Caz was very beautiful and professional. Everything was discussed and explained prior. A lot of choices of the gowns and backgrounds, and they have bee renewed all the time. So everyone will find their perfect outfit. The home studio is nice and comfortable, many accessories and props to choose from as well. Caz is very good and professional photographer. She makes sure the shot is going to be perfect and fixes all details. As a result: gorgeous photos. Highly recommended”

Sometimes it’s hard to look for a photographer who can just honour the memory of pregnancy. Well… Cherry on Top Photography can prove otherwise.

Amelia, the studio’s photographer, is great at delivering emotional, story-driven photos. This isn’t about dramatic gowns or overly styled poses. It’s more “this is what it felt like to be here, right now, growing a tiny human.”

Multiple clients mentioned that she’s great at keeping them comfortable. Someone even mentioned shooting with her was like being with a long-time friend.

We also couldn’t ignore her natural-light studio. In a city where many maternity photographers are either mobile or rely on outdoor shoots, having a dedicated, private, light-filled space gives sessions a more peaceful feel.

For those who want continuity, she offers a “bump to baby” package. It’s actually something families come back for.

That said, this won’t be for everyone. If you’re after high-fashion maternity shots that feel editorial. This style may feel a bit too understated.

Pros

  • Strong focus on emotion and storytelling
  • Comfortable and relaxed experience
  • Bump to baby package offering
  • Natural-light studio setup
  • Loyal, repeat client base

Cons

  • Less suited for high-fashion or editorial styles

We absolutely love Amelia

“We absolutely love Amelia. She is very professional and amazing with newborn and kids. We couldn’t be happier with all our photo sessions with her. Highly recommend for all photo session you might need. We have done our maternity and newborn sessions with her and we can’t wait for our next one which will be the cake smash/bubble bath for our little girl. Thank you so much Amelia”
