5 Best Furnished Apartments in Sydney for a Ready-Made Stay

Location and Accessibility: We checked how easily you can get to transport, work hubs, shops, and everyday essentials. A great apartment shouldn’t turn your commute into a Sydney-wide expedition.

Furnishings and Amenities: We looked for genuinely move-in-ready extras like Wi-Fi, laundry, kitchens, linen, parking, and workspaces. The less you need to buy on day one, the better.

Lease Flexibility: We compared minimum stays, longer-term options, cancellations, and booking rules. Plans change, so a rigid lease can be a real pain.

Pricing Transparency: We checked what’s actually included in the rate, from utilities to Wi-Fi. We also flagged extra costs like cleaning, parking, and housekeeping before they sneak up on you.

I’ve been eyeing good home builders around Sydney, but my budget’s firmly telling me to rent for now. So finding the best furnished apartment in Sydney feels like the smarter move.

A turnkey place means I can skip furniture shopping, utility wrangling, and the usual moving-day chaos. That’s a win when Sydney life is already expensive enough!

I spent weeks checking furnished options across the Harbour City for comfort, flexibility, and location. These stood out as places I’d happily unpack my bags without pretending I’m ready for a mortgage.

How much does a furnished apartment cost in Sydney?

Furnished apartments in Sydney generally cost around AU$550 to AU$1,250+ per week. Prices depend on the suburb, apartment size, lease length, and whether you choose a standard or serviced rental.

A furnished studio typically costs AU$450–AU$700 per week or about AU$1,950–AU$3,000 per month. A one-bedroom apartment usually sits around AU$550–AU$980 per week or AU$2,380–AU$4,250 per month.

Two-bedroom apartments can cost AU$700–AU$1,680 per week or roughly AU$3,030–AU$7,280 per month. Larger three-bedroom options often start at AU$1,200 per week and can reach AU$1,890+, or around AU$5,200–AU$8,190+ per month.

Working remotely from a temporary flat can get old fast when the dining table becomes your office.

Furnished Properties makes that easier with corporate apartments that can be set up with an extra desk or dedicated workspace on request.

Its Sydney range includes one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, with selected pet-friendly, family-friendly, and parking options.

Most stays come ready with linen, towels, kitchen appliances, Wi-Fi, and utilities already connected.

I like that self-check-in via lockbox or key safe keeps late arrivals relatively fuss-free. It’s the sort of setup that suits relocations, work trips, or anyone who’d rather unpack than spend day one sorting bills.

The catch is housekeeping isn’t daily. Longer-stay service cleans are generally fortnightly and cost extra, so hotel-style pampering isn’t really part of the deal.

Pros

  • Extra desk or WFH setup available on request
  • One-, two-, and three-bedroom options
  • Selected pet-friendly and family-friendly stays
  • Wi-Fi and utilities already set up
  • Self-check-in suits late arrivals

Cons

  • No daily housekeeping
  • Fortnightly service cleans cost extra
  • Parking and pet-friendly options aren’t available at every property

Clean, Spacious, Furnished With Everything You Need

Very happy with our stay at a property in Naremburn. The flat was as described; clean, spacious, furnished with everything you need, in a great location.

The team at Furnished Properties really went above and beyond to make our stay smooth and enjoyable. Otis was a gem – always available for any concerns we had and very helpful in the checkin/checkout process.
We have already recommended you to family, and we will be using your services again.
Thank you.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9 AM-5 PM; Saturday-Sunday, 11 AM-4 PM

Apartment hunting in Sydney can turn into a full-time scrolling job. World Blue Accommodation makes it easier by acting a bit like a rental matchmaker, using your dates, budget, guest numbers, and preferred area to narrow things down.

The company has been around since 1999 and handles both serviced and unserviced furnished stays.

Its longer-term apartments are typically self-contained, with linen, kitchen gear, Wi-Fi, and utilities included depending on the property.

I like that the team usually sends through a tailored shortlist within 24 hours. That’s handy if you’re relocating for work and don’t fancy comparing fifty near-identical listings yourself.

The downside is the minimum stay. Most properties require at least 21 nights, so this isn’t the one for a quick Sydney weekender.

Pros

  • Tailored apartment shortlist based on your needs
  • Usually responds within 24 hours
  • Serviced and unserviced furnished options
  • Suitable for corporate and longer-term stays
  • Wi-Fi and utilities commonly included

Cons

  • Most properties require a 21-night minimum stay/not ideal for weekend or one-week stays
  • Inclusions and booking terms can vary by property

A Home Away From Home for Me

I’ve been staying with World Blue regularly while on business in Sydney for about seven years. The team is extremely responsive and helpful, and the properties have become a home away from home for me.

Apartments in various places around the central city, great internet, good facilities, reasonable rates – highly recommended if you’re looking for a serviced apartment rather than a hotel.

The Pool and Gym Were Really Good

Thanks, World Blue, for an amazing experience. I have stayed for 3 months in a studio apartment on Kent Street, and it was lovely. The pool and gym were really good, as well as the location. The staff were always there for us, and the apartments were spotless. 100% recommended!!

Address: Unit 10, 146-148 Lyons Road, Drummoyne

Contact: 1300 030 002 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-7 PM; Saturday-Sunday, 9 AM-4 PM

If the CBD feels a bit too full-on, Drummoyne gives you a quieter base without dropping you off the Sydney map.

These furnished studios are self-contained, roomy for their type, and set in a secure Inner West building with an on-site manager.

The kitchens are properly equipped, so you’re not stuck living on takeaway. You’ll also get a washer and dryer, air conditioning, Smart TV, Wi-Fi, and initial linen and towels.

For longer stays, water and reasonable electricity use are included, which takes a few bills off your plate. I’d especially like this setup for a work stint or temporary move where convenience matters more than hotel frills.

The catch is size. Studios are capped at two adults and one infant, and onsite parking is limited.

Pros

  • Quiet Inner West location
  • Fully equipped self-contained studios
  • Washer and dryer in each apartment
  • Wi-Fi, Smart TV, and air conditioning included
  • Water and reasonable electricity use included for longer stays
  • Onsite manager

Cons

  • Maximum of two adults and one infant/better suited to singles or couples than larger families
  • Limited onsite parking

Plenty of Kitchenware for All Your Cooking Needs

Room was very functional, although a little dated, but was reasonably priced for a room with a full kitchen. There was plenty of kitchenware for all your cooking needs.

The two staff I dealt with were both friendly and helpful.

Bus stop out the front takes 20 minutes to Town Hall station.

I was in a front room. Road noise was really only noticeable with the window open. No trouble sleeping with window closed.

Air conditioning worked fine but was rarely needed in October & November.

Wifi worked fine and fully integrated with the smart TV.

All the Basics You Need for a Home Away From Home

Great base for visiting Sydney for a week. A quick bus ride into the city centre, as the bus stop is just outside the property. Also a short walk to local shops, restaurants/bakery and close to the harbour. All the basics you need for a home away from home. Andre was very responsive and helpful during our stay. It was a little tired-looking, and there was traffic noise, but not much we didn’t like.

Moving to Sydney solo can feel a bit daunting, so UKO Surry Hills has a clever answer: private studios with communal spaces built in.

You get a co-working area, recreation room, laundry, bike storage, secure parking, and shared spots for meeting other residents.

The studios come with high-speed internet, air conditioning, and digital locks, while the building has 24/7 security surveillance.

I like that Central Station is within easy reach, which makes getting around Sydney much less of a mission.

It’s a setup that suits anyone who wants independence without going full hermit. The co-living angle gives you somewhere to work, mingle, or simply escape your four walls.

The catch is every published layout is a studio. Pets aren’t allowed either, so families and furry flatmates will need another option.

Pros

  • Private studios with communal spaces
  • Co-working and recreation areas
  • High-speed internet and air conditioning
  • Digital locks and 24/7 security surveillance
  • Bike storage and on-site laundry
  • Easy access to Central Station

Cons

  • Studio-only layouts (not ideal for larger families)
  • Pets aren’t allowed
  • Secure parking may not suit everyone depending on availability or cost

Clean and Well Designed

Excellent location, really straightforward way to rent a place for the short term. Rooms are clean and well designed. Brani, the community manager, was very quick to respond and sort out any issues. Would recommend to anyone looking for their first place to stay in Sydney.

The Internet Was Perfect for Working From Home

This was an awesome place to stay. I loved the facilities and the communal room was great for cooking and socialising when you felt like it. The internet was perfect for working from home, and the best part… location: the best bars and restaurants right on your doorstep. Brani was also an awesome community manager who organised so many great events, and was always a message away. Would highly recommend this place for people who love to live alone, but also want the option to be sociable

Hotels are fine until you start missing a proper kitchen and somewhere to do the washing.

Astra Apartments North Sydney feels more like actual residential living, with furnished apartments inside private buildings and a personal meet-and-greet on arrival.

Layouts range from studios to three bedrooms, with full kitchens, internal laundries, appliances, and private Wi-Fi. Weekly servicing can be arranged, and management support is available by phone around the clock.

I like the North Sydney location for easy access to Victoria Cross Metro and the CBD.

Astra’s 72-hour cancellation policy and stable corporate-style pricing make longer work stays feel less rigid, too.

I Loved the Full Kitchen & Laundry

We had an amazing stay at Astra Apartments in North Sydney. The lady who checked us in was extremely helpful & explained how everything worked. The apartment we had was in a great location, very close to the metro, the bus & the train station. There was a Woolworths supermarket within walking distance & an IGA next door, along with lots of great restaurants & cafes very close by. However, we would not recommend eating at the Rag & Famish a couple of doors down. I loved the full kitchen & laundry; we would definitely stay again
