AMEA is a great choice for anyone looking for kids mandarin classes in Sydney.
The biggest differentiator is their Immersive Situational-Based Learning (ISBL) approach, where teachers speak Mandarin about 95% of the time.

From what we’ve heard from parents, this is effective with their primary-aged kids. Their children always look forward to attending the sessions.
Class sizes are capped at six children. We loved this because smaller groups mean more speaking time and more corrections. Teachers can also observe progress more.

MoTai Mandarin stood out to us because of how flexible and tailored their lessons are. They teach both adults and children across all proficiency levels.
A huge part of this is the quality of their tutors. Every tutor is a native Mandarin speaker with formal qualifications in TCSOL (Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages).
They also have at least 3 years of experience and Mandarin proficiency certification.

They still cover exam preparation, but they lean more into conversational fluency and cultural immersion. They fold in traditional festivals, practical dialogues, and everyday scenarios like ordering food.
Some of the students we’ve spoken to said the tutors make the learning fun. Felicity’s patience and consistent reinforcement of new material were also praised.
