5 Best Home Office Furniture Stores in Sydney for Smarter Workspaces

  • Google Rating: I checked for a minimum 4.5-star rating based on verified customer feedback. This step helps ensure you get great service and reliable support from the team.
  • Showroom Availability: Every store on our list has a physical Sydney location where you can try the gear. Testing a chair or desk in person ensures you get the right fit before buying.
  • Product Range: I looked for suppliers that offer a wide variety of desks, chairs, and storage units. A diverse range makes it easy to find matching pieces for your home decor.
  • Build Quality: I focused on commercial-grade durability and strong warranty options. This means your new setup will last for years of daily remote work.

Setting up a workspace at home can be tough if you don’t have the right setup. When you shift from an office cubicle to a spare room, you need reliable gear to keep your productivity high.

Quality home office furniture stores in Sydney can make a big difference, especially when it comes to staying comfortable and avoiding backaches during long work hours.

I looked around the city to find the top spots that balance smart comfort with great style. These local showrooms make it easier to upgrade your workspace without overthinking the process, so you can focus more on getting work done.

They stock durable, commercial-grade furniture that’s built to last over time. And I like that you can jump into their online design tools if you need quick inspiration before committing to anything.

Plus, clients are impressed that these guys support community causes through their partnership with the i=Change program, adding a nice feel-good layer to the brand.

Customer Reviews:

Very good quality

Purchased 1 x Reese 3 Drawer desk Black (120cm)

Excellent service on-line and by phone,

Prompt delivery – easy assembly attaching the 4 legs.

Very good quality !

Desk is very smart..chic & love the rounded ends.

Quality furniture

We knew when we walked in that we’d found ‘the store’.

Quality furniture but not overpriced. Because it was our first stop, we requested a quote, spent the day looking at other options then went straight back and ordered what we saw on the same day.

Great delivery and set up options and informative service.

Will be back.

2. Ergoport – Ergonomic Home & Office Furniture

Address: Ground Floor, Shop 1, 77 Pacific Hwy

Contact: 299 298 447

Hours: Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Beating bad sitting habits gets a lot easier when your furniture actually encourages you to move and adjust throughout the day. Ergoport leans into this with over 150 highly customisable seating options designed to suit different body types and work styles.

The company was started by an experienced ergonomist, so there’s a strong focus on proper posture and support. They even test every desk and accessory before putting anything on sale.

Plus, they encourage you to try everything in-store so you can really figure out what feels right. I tried one of their premium chairs last month, and the lumbar support honestly made a noticeable difference during a long writing session.

However, with so many customisation options and specialist parts, it can feel a bit overwhelming.

Pros

  • Rigorous pre-sale gear testing
  • In-store product trials encouraged
  • Australian family-owned business
  • Founded by an expert ergonomist

Cons

  • Huge selection feels overwhelming

Customer Reviews:

Professional and efficient service

Ergoport have been very helpful in setting me up with a new chair for my home office. They delivered the product quickly and also provided another chair, so I could make a choice between two options. I appreciate the convenience of their team coming to my home, rather than having to commute to them. Professional and efficient service. Really has helped with my posture, after needing to sit for long hours.

Thank you,

Dalia, Coogee

Excellent customer service

I had great customer service from Ergoport. I was buying a desk chair for my home office and knew the style I wanted. Dan Valenti was really responsive to my queries. He was courteous,  followed up, looked into stock availability, and responded to my multitude of questions with good humour.  I did extensive research and shopping around, and decided to go with Ergoport thanks to Dan’s excellent customer service. Thanks Dan!

3. Kelly’s Office Furniture

Address: 824 Pittwater Rd, Dee Why

Contact: 299 821 077

Hours:

  • Monday – Friday: 8.30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Creating a compact workspace in a tight corner doesn’t have to cost a fortune. Kelly’s Office Furniture helps you build complete, space-saving setups that still feel practical and well put together.

They draw on over 50 years of industry experience and direct supplier relationships to keep pricing competitive. Plus, their staff tends to stick around long-term, helping them give a consistent service and support.

I like that their team can also design custom-built-in cabinetry and timber desktops to fit awkward home corners that most standard furniture just can’t work with.

That makes them a solid option for remote workers and local website designers in Sydney who need a reliable setup at home. They regularly handle large corporate projects, too, so durability is clearly a big focus.

Sadly, those who prefer to see their pre-loved furniture range may need to visit a separate showroom, which can feel a bit inconvenient if you’re hoping to browse everything in one place.

Pros

  • Custom cabinetry for corners
  • Competitive supplier direct prices
  • Handles large corporate clients
  • Highly experienced local team

Cons

  • Secondhand stock kept elsewhere

Customer Reviews:

The staff were wonderful

Got a new home office chair from Kelly’s late 2025. The staff were wonderful – it was great to be able to walk into the store and test all the different chairs that were available. Finally settled on something that worked for me, and they were able to arrange delivery when I needed it. When it’s time to replace this chair, I will be back!

Always polite, helpful and above the call

I have dealt with Kelly’s Office Furniture for many years both in the Corporate setting and for the home office. I enquired to get a quote for recovering a chair I purchased some years ago. I love the chair still, its fantastic (Roxy) but the fabric had faded. After communication with Timo, he advised that the recovering would be covered under warranty. I was surprised and delighted.

Service at this company is always polite, helpful and above the call. Such a refreshing change.

Sit And Move works directly with manufacturers to build ergonomically tested features into their furniture, with a strong focus on long-term posture support.

They offer modular desk systems that adapt easily to different working styles, along with specialised health-focused equipment for more specific physical needs.

This brand has been a go-to choice for architects and healthcare professionals for over 30 years. I spoke to a local designer who uses their modular desks, and she told me they completely changed the way she works throughout the day.

The trade-off is that their healthcare-focused range may feel a bit much if you’re after a basic home desk.

Pros

  • Direct factory tech partnerships
  • Trusted by healthcare experts
  • Highly adaptable modular options
  • Specialised physical posture gear

Cons

  • Lacks simple traditional styles

Customer Reviews:

Knowledgeable and genuinely helpful

Karen and the team were so knowledgeable and genuinely helpful. What started out as a quick visit to look at desk chairs designed to minimise pelvic pain became a series of purchases over the next few months to upgrade my home office. The chair, standing desk and footstool, tailored to my own ergonomic requirements, have genuinely improved my day to day work experience.

High level of service

I was very impressed by the high level of service at Sit and Move. Aidan advised me on the best desk chair for my needs, and adjusted the model in store to ensure a perfect fit. The chair was then tailor made. I am delighted with its design, with its sturdy construction, and with the high-quality woollen fabric. A great choice!

5. Affordable Office Furniture

affordable-office-furniture

Website:https://www.affordableoffice.com.au/

Address: 19/26-32 Abel St

Contact: 247 216 521

Hours:

  • Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Saturday: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Waiting weeks for your setup to arrive can seriously stall your productivity. Affordable Office Furniture helps solve that by keeping large amounts of stock ready to ship straight from their warehouse.

They also run their own installation crew, which makes the setup process quick and pretty hassle-free. Their consultants can even visit your space for a free, no-obligation measure and quote.

Product-wise, I like that they use timber from managed forests, which is a nice sustainable touch.

This kind of heavy-duty furniture also works well in bigger commercial spaces, especially alongside finishes from epoxy flooring businesses in Sydney

The only downside is that their corporate focus can make the designs feel a bit heavy and standard, which may not suit a more modern or compact home office style.

Pros

  • In-house expert installation crew
  • Massive stock avoids dispatch delays
  • Free on-site space measurement
  • Sustainable forest wood certified

Cons

  • Heavy focus on bulky designs

Customer Reviews:

Very quick in responding

We moved into our house a few months ago and the first thing we needed was to fit out the home office. We found these guys online and really liked their range. It took us a while to pick out the furniture we wanted but when we put our order in they were very quick in responding and having the order ready for us. The team that put the furniture together for us were also great. They were quick and tidy. They even came back and fixed a desk for me, even though it was my fault that it broke!…

Great service and product. Highly recommend these guys.

Highly recommend

Made the mistake of automatically looking to Officeworks to buy a new chair for covid inspired home office. No stock, poor products and not very helpful. They wouldn’t even answer the phone 😠 Googled “ergonomic chair” and found Affordable Office Furniture”. Checked the site, found the chairs I wanted and gave them a call. They not only answered the phone, they gave great advice. Bought a new chair from them today. Highly recommend them.

Update: Went back to purchase a second chair for my son for his birthday as he liked mine so much. Same great service, they are consistent!
