The business purchased the majority of its fleet in 2020 or later, so the vehicles are all in good shape and often still smell new. If you need vans, there are 8- to 12-seater vehicles available, as well as commercial moving vans including those with high roofs.

You can even rent a box trailer that attaches to your vehicle, in case you need a little more cargo capacity. 

We were glad to see pricing estimates per vehicle on the website, even before we made any bookings, as not every rental business is this upfront about their pricing. To add to this, we discovered no hidden costs. 

Loyalty discounts are available for long-term customers, as well as special packages and deals for business clients. The online reservation forms are detailed but intuitive, and easy to fill out.

A few users complained about bad customer service and lack of clarity on details, but the vast majority of customers were happy with the company.

You can rent a basic 1-tonne van for your moving needs, but 1.5 and 2-tonne vans are available as well. The vans have automatic transmission, plus tow bars and large cargo areas, which can be driven on a standard car license. 

Time frames are flexible: you can rent for as short as 2 hours. 

We did note that the rental plans have a few limitations. For example, the basic package comes with a 100-kilometre distance limit.

We contacted a Gecko staff member on the phone to inquire about renting some vans. She walked us through the options, and promised that if we could find an identical rental van from another company for a similar price, she would get us a better deal at Gecko. 

Unfortunately, some users complained of rude customer service and overcharging. However, the vast majority of business reviews gave Gecko 5 stars.
