How much does interior design cost in Sydney?
Prepare to spend at least $2,000 for consultation and interior design in Sydney, and possibly up to $15,000. The price goes up as you request larger rooms (or even entire homes) to be renovated. The more furniture and interior accessories you lease or purchase, the more expensive it becomes as well.

They collaborate with real estate agents to make sure a property looks as good as possible for showing off to buyers. They can spruce up anything from living rooms and bedrooms to commercial flats and small outdoor dining areas.
We got in touch with a staff member at Capstone who described their process to us, which starts with a consultation about how the space can be aesthetically maximised, while staying in line with what the customer wants.
A day later, the customer will get a proposal with recommendations and scheduling.
On the agreed-upon day, the team will arrive and begin work. They’ll be at it for a few hours uto a full day at most, to fully realise the customer’s interior design vision.
Take note that you’ll be required to pay the full amount before any work begins, so make sure you’re happy with all the details before pulling the trigger.
When the property is sold or the contract expires, Capstone team members will again arrive for furniture removal. If you like the furniture used for the display, you can arrange to buy it from them.
A fantastic job
“Michael and his team at Capstone Interiors did a fantastic job styling my studio. They knew exactly what was the right furniture to put into a small space to make it look chic and spacious. There is no doubt that the good sale price I received is due to how the studio was presented.”
– Lloyd Newson, Google review
Everything was absolutely perfect
“Everything was absolutely perfect and we sold the house after having it listed less than 2 weeks on the market. Michael and his team conveyed the message to the potential buyers perfectly and I wish I could ask Michael to permanently style our next house that we would live in.”

5. Novari Collective

Address: Tenancy 1, Unit 1, 14A Baker St, Banksmeadow
Phone: 02 9310 1611
Business hours:
- Monday – Friday: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
- Weekends: closed
Novari Collective stands out because it offers property staging that an agent can use to improve house sales, as well as regular interior decoration for residences.
They’ve been active in the property staging industry since 2004, and in interior design since 2017. As such, they know how to transform spaces according to themes like modern, classic, luxurious, and more.
The process involves a property visit, assessment, and consultation from one of the team’s Senior Stylists. Soon after, you’ll receive a quote that breaks down the furniture, accessories, and other details to be used for the property staging.
Finally, the styling team will arrive to execute the plans and elevate the home space to another level — one that captures potential buyers’ attention in an even more alluring way.
If you don’t want a full makeover, you can opt for a partial property styling. In this case, the design team will adjust and play around with the furniture that’s already in the living space, with the same goal of making it attractive and maximising sale value.
Despite the positives, a few customers have mentioned that they received low-quality furniture from the business.
They made the whole process easy
“They were extremely professional, efficient, knowledgeable, and organised, with clear communication throughout. The styling looked amazing and really elevated the presentation of our home, driving lots of interest. We sold within just one week.”
– Megan McBride, Google review
We are thrilled with the results
“From the very beginning, Jemma demonstrated exceptional patience and expertise. She took the time to truly understand our lifestyle and how we utilized each space in our home. What stood out most was her ability to educate us on the difference between fleeting trends we saw on Instagram and practical, functional design.”
